Borrowing
View our catalog now. The toy loan period for all items is up to four weeks. All toys, costumes, games and puzzles need to be handled with care to ensure they remain in good condition and can be used by other toy library members. Members are responsible for choosing toys suitable for their children and supervising play.
Choosing toys
Choose toys that are appropriate for the age of your child. Toys with small parts that may pose a choking risk to young children should be clearly labelled.
Checking out toys
Members are responsible for ensuring that items are complete, undamaged and as described on the label when borrowing. Damaged or incomplete items should be reported to staff for review.
Returning
Members are responsible for returning toys on time and in good condition. This ensures the library can run efficiently and that toys can be be ready and safe for loan. Toys must be washed thoroughly before returning and costumes laundered or wiped clean as appropriate. Returns of unclean items may incur late fines .
All toys must be directly borrowed from and returned to the library. Exchanging toys with other members is not permitted.
When returning toys, please ensure you have:
- Cleaned and dried all items
- Counted and checked all pieces included
- Packed items into bags or boxes provided
